The Manners Collection
The Manners Collection is an ongoing series of vintage-inspired graphic tees from Not For Disclosure, featuring Astraea and Hermes in surreal alien encounters across history, science, and everyday life.
Inspired by the tradition of comedy of manners, interdimensional travel, ancient civilizations, scientific wonder, and the quiet absurdity of ordinary life, each design places the extraordinary inside the familiar: Mesoamerican ruins, suburban sidewalks, prehistoric landscapes, quantum laboratories, Egyptian monuments, and other unlikely sites of social behavior.
At the center of the collection are recurring observers who have traveled beside civilization for longer than records reliably indicate. They are not here to conquer, correct, or explain us. They are here to notice.
With designs like Manners of Suburbia, Manners of Chichen Itza, Manners of Mesozoic, and Manners of Tzimtzum, the collection treats civilization as something worth studying, laughing with, and remembering.
Each tee carries a detailed single-color illustration rendered in black or white ink according to the garment. The style is part artifact, part social comedy, part field observation — a quiet reminder that the extraordinary is often just trying to pass as ordinary.
